Is it More Difficult to Blast Underwater?

Blasting on land is tough, but throwing a body of water into the mix can make blasting even more challenging. One of the main challenges is not being able to see the explosion in real time since it happens under water, and you can’t really see the effect of the blast or its vibrations from the surface. There are also other factors that make underwater blasting difficult like: other vessels on the water, limited space to work, and dealing with the water itself. For bigger charge configurations, the vibrations are potentially bigger underwater than traditional blasting.
